California Science Project at Irvine
Housed at the University of California, Irvine, the California Science Project Irvine is part of a science professional development infrastructure in place across the state. CSPI collaborates with teachers, university personnel, school districts and students to provide collaborative, high quality science instruction. A special focus is placed upon English learners as well as students living in poverty.
CSPI is active in multiple school districts in Southern California, giving teachers much needed professional development time and opportunities to collaborate on issues in science education. One of the many highlights of the work of the Science Project are the intensive two week summer science institutes that take place at the University each summer, bringing together professionals from many diverse backgrounds and levels of experience.
